Yue Ying

Yue Ying debuted as a default Shu bodyguard in Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends before becoming a playable character. She is the wife of Zhuge Liang and fights for Shu, although her role in the battles is entirely fictional. She is portrayed as an intelligent and able strategist but unlike the other strategists, she cannot use magic. She is credited for the invention of the Juggernaut (a mounted fire-breathing device) and the Wooden Ox (an ox-like wooden machine that moves by itself, used in place of real oxen in transporting supplies), but in the novel her husband is the inventor. In the PlayStation 2 version of Dynasty Warriors 6, she meets Zhuge Liang at the Battle of Chang Ban and marries him prior to the Battle of Chi Bi.

Yue Ying's default weapon is a dagger axe. Her attacks comprise of large sweeps while her Musou attack resembles Guan Yu's, with her spinning in circle to slash all enemies in range. In Dynasty Warriors 6, her appearance is altered and she wields a bow called "Emerald Dew". She is only playable in Free-Mode in the Playstation 3 / Xbox while in the PlayStation 2 she has a unique move set and wields a weapon called "Jade Crescent".
